Weekly Highlights with Talya

It's hard to believe that a kid with either Nelson or Kwee genes has any interest in sports with moving objects, much less a kid with genes from two ball-phobic families. But Talya has been quite excited about playing soccer, and is also a bit obsessed with the idea of hockey (yes, we're living in CANADA!), though she hasn't actually had much opportunity to skate around chasing those little hockey puck things...
Give her something to spray and she's on board! Last weekend, we participated in the very rare family activity of washing our car, inside and out. Unbelievable. It was much colder than this picture lets on, and Talya was quickly drenched, freezing cold, and needing to pee...so she ended up inside with new clothes playing "store" with her auntie and grandma (who were cooking) while mommy and daddy finished the car job (we seemed to be better at pointing the sprayer at the car than our clothes).
Spinning around in ballet shoes and a pink leotard is a Talya favorite.
Church storytime with Bishop Ron and kiddies.

It's a Boy

The closest view we've had of the little guy is through an ultrasound at 18 1/2 weeks, back in December. We're looking forward to meeting him in a new way any day now. From the looks of the bottom picture, he's already a thumb sucker. We'll post some more pics after his arrival.
