Bad Habits Start Young

Talya really wants to start working on her own cup of coffee. You may be tempted to incorrectly assume that we posed her for this picture. In reality, she and her mama had a little struggling match to see who would get this morning's cup. A fairly peaceful resolution came about: Janelle drank the coffee, while Talya showed the most keen interest in licking the mug.

I got to meet Baby Jaden for the first time since she was born (you can see we hung out a little bit before that, too). We caught up on the latest gossip, and I made sure to sample her yummy fingers.

Playing Ball

My cousins Roman and Jacob sent me this really great squishy ball. I love it because tastes excellent, it's not too heavy for me to hold, makes a cool rattle sound, and of course rolls around!!!! I am starting to have a lot of fun playing, and like to be entertained almost as much as I like to snuggle these days. To all my other baby and big people friends out there, please come play with me one of these days!!!

Standing Tall

Here I am posing in my bedroom (hanging on for balance to the railing of my crib) at four and a half months old. I don't know why anyone bothers to learn to sit when you can see so much more standing up. My parents are at least happy that I can't pull myself up in the crib by myself...yet.

Friendship or Sibling Rivalry?

...or the feline as mere transitional object? You be the judge. Talya has taken to being very interested in Xana Katt. She watches her from across the room, pets (or pats or punches, however four month olds do it) her whenever she can manage, grabs handfuls of cat hair, and willingly snuggles next to her. Reportedly she fell asleep with her arm around Xana the other night (while sitting on the babysitter's lap on the sofa). So far, Xana at least patiently endures, and possibly enjoys the extra attention.

Emerging Personality

One of my favorite activities lately is to make all the little toys move around in this play gym. Sometimes they make noises. I babble or blow bubbles with my lips back to them. Most of all, you can see that I love the camera; that's because it's the best way to get your attention.

Grandma Lynne Visits

When Grandma Lynne visited a few weeks ago, I found out that she is really good at making toys out of anything. Here we are playing with the pillow from the sofa.
